Job summary

Custom Goods Logistics in Fontana, CA is seeking an Operations Supervisor to coordinate and supervise all warehouse activities daily, including receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory control. You will work under the Operations Manager to ensure safe, efficient operations and timely order fulfillment.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining safety and accuracy in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; three years' related experience as warehouse supervisor/lead.
• Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and multi-task effectively.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with Excel and Warehouse/Yard Management Systems or Transportation Management Systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise receiving, storing, transporting, shipping, transloading and inventory on a daily basis.
• Determine work procedures, schedules, and expedite workflow; revise schedules as needed.
• Assign duties; review work for accuracy and policy conformance; manage pick lists and bills of lading.
• Supervise shipments; advise on care of goods and use of equipment; resolve related issues.
• Promote safety; maintain a clean, orderly work area; lead daily safety meetings.
• Review production schedules and coordinate timetables to ensure timely shipping.
• Coordinate with other department heads to ensure warehouse activity alignment and on-time shipping.
• Contact carriers to arrange pickups and follow-ups.
• Coordinate staffing with onsite reps and show tasks to temporary workers.
• Monitor and evaluate individual performance; ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security and conducting inventories.
• Adhere to company policies; participate in additional duties as assigned.
