Job summary

Heritage Healthcare of Painesville is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service in a long-term care setting. You will prepare and serve meals ensuring palatability, and help with basic kitchen tasks under the guidance of the Dietary Director.

Requirements include prior long-term care experience, a minimum of 1 year in food service, and availability every other weekend. The role emphasizes sanitation, safety, and teamwork in a compassionate resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care settings is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in food service or dietary aide.
• Must be available every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals while observing sanitation and safety requirements.
• Serve food according to established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Clean dirty dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Return clean items to proper storage areas.
• Follow established cooking guidelines.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
