Job summary

COX HEALTHCARE LTD is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for patients, staff, and events. You will follow the Dietary Manager's instructions, serve according to planned menus and diets, and support the cook with safe food handling practices.

The role emphasizes customer service, English fluency, and prior food service experience; a Food Handler's permit is required, with LTC dietary experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in food prep and service as a Dietary Aide preferred.
• Experience in LTC Dietary preferred.
• Food Handler's permit required.
• Customer service skills required.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluent English.
• Cook experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of meals for patients, employees, and events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks per planned menu and patient diets.
• Assist the cook by ensuring food is prepared/pre-portioned using proper food handling techniques and in proper quantity and on time.
• May wash dishes when necessary or as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation and/or service of meals/food for the patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary manager. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu and the patient's food preferences and diet order. The Dietary Aide also assists the cook by ensuring the food prepared and/or pre-portioned using proper food handling/safety techniques and is of proper quantity, completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu and residents diet order. They may also wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Dietary Manager. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Dietary Aide may perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager when necessary.

• Must possess, as a minimum, High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in food prep and service as a Dietary Aide preferred.
