Job summary

Charles C. Sitrin Health Care Center Inc. is seeking an Assistant Administrator to oversee multiple departments, ensure a viable census, staffing, budgeting, and DOH compliance.

The role provides coverage in the Administrator’s absence and interfaces with the Quality Assurance Committee. The position requires a NYS Nursing Home Administrator’s license, a health-related field background, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Management or related field.
• Current New York State Nursing Home Administrator’s License.
• At least two years experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to work independently with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Department of Health Nursing Home regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative oversight of assigned departments, maintains viable census, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provides Administrator coverage in absence of the Administrator, including weekend coverage.
• Completes audits, analyzes results, and presents corrective actions to QA Committee quarterly.
• Assists with facility-wide inservices and acts as Corporate Compliance Officer.
• Conducts quarterly meetings and completes DOH reportable paperwork as assigned.
• Involves in DOH recertification surveys and plan of correction, including policy revisions and audits.
• Reviews transfer agreements annually and coordinates disaster drills with written outcome reports.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Management or related field

Current New York State Nursing Home Administrator’s License
