Job summary

RTX is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (Senior Principal) to join the LTAMDS program in Tewksbury, MA. The role requires directing cross‑discipline teams, maturing system requirements, and ensuring compliant technical execution in coordination with the Chief Engineer.

You will collaborate with program leadership to balance performance against objectives, drive interface integrity, and deliver robust defense solutions for field deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in Systems Engineering or multi-discipline engineering.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Integration/test or sustainment background valued.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across IPT/CPTs and contracts in Development.
• Coordinate HW, SW, and test capabilities for interface integrity and design cohesion.
• Mature concepts into optimal solutions; verify system requirements (FCA/SVR).
• Support Chief Engineer to ensure technical execution and integration.
• Guide technical capabilities (EP, NCTR, ABT/TBM, 360) into solutions.
• Maintain frequent contact with Program Office and US Government to mature solutions for fielding.
• Provide technical leadership and coordination across teams.
• Coordinate with Development Program Manager on budget and schedule.
• Deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers.
