Utah Transit Authority is seeking a full-time Maintenance Employee to perform preventative inspections, remove and replace components, and assist advanced technicians on rail vehicles. The role requires tool proficiency, safe operation of equipment, and the ability to certify on forklift, crane, and other shop gear.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of technical school or training beneficial.
• Able to pass Electromechanic Helper test and a yard/shop operation exam.
• Must certify to operate forklift, crane and other shop equipment.
• DOT medical card and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on rail vehicles.
• Remove and replace mechanical and electrical components as directed.
• Assist Electromechanics and senior staff with complex maintenance tasks.
• Provide training support and verify peers' competencies.
