Job summary

Utah Transit Authority in Salt Lake City is seeking a Maintenance Road Crew member to maintain system-wide passenger facilities, including bus stops, shelters, stations, restrooms and transit hubs. You will also remove snow and ice and operate heavy equipment.

This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, a $2,000 hiring incentive, and paid time off; you must have a CDL, DOT physical, and reliable attendance. Shift is 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with weekends off.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of verifiable experience in maintenance repair or heavy equipment operation.
• Demonstrated abilities with hand tools and sign post installation equipment.
• Must pass DOT physical and obtain a DOT card; valid Class A CDL.
• Able to pass safety courses including Fork Lift Certification and MET test.
• Pay attention to attendance, overtime and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system-wide passenger facilities: bus stops, shelters, stations, rest rooms and transit hubs.
• Removal of snow and ice; operate snow removal equipment and heavy trucks.
• Light maintenance tasks and sign post installation.
• Clean up bio hazards as needed; work overtime/holidays as required.
