Job summary

The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County in Middletown, NY is seeking LPNs to support clients with alcohol and substance use disorders. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, applying nursing processes and monitoring residents’ health.

Electronic medical records are used to ensure high‑quality care. We require a NYS LPN license, NLN-accredited diploma, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience; 2 years in substance abuse settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an NLN-accredited program for LPNs.
• Current New York State LPN license in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• One year of nursing experience required; two years in substance abuse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized client care and monitoring.
• Record and report symptoms or changes in condition.
• Coordinate medical services with regulatory compliance.
• Maintain electronic medical records and documentation.

Salary Range: $29.00/hr. - $35.00/hr. -Based on years of experience, educational degree and licensing

Schedule: 12-hour shifts/week, 7am to 7:30pm or 7pm - 730am

Substance Use Disorders are chronic illnesses, and treatment provided is based upon the presenting needs of the individual. Our goal is to help individuals and families begin the physical, emotional and spiritual healing process by utilizing compassionate, encouraging and evidence-based practices. We ultimately strive to guide individuals, and their families, towards a goal of living life to its full potential-free from addiction.

We are currently seeking for immediate hire: LPN’s - The position promotes the physical and mental health of clients by applying the nursing processes. The position is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and has the goal of assisting residents to assume responsibility for their own health. The position coordinates and monitors medical services, in accordance with the requirements of regulatory agencies and in response to individual client need.

Our nurses provide individualized care for the clients by ongoing monitoring, recording and reporting symptoms or changes in client’s condition. We use electronic medical records to provide high quality, safe client care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for LPN:

• Diploma from a National League for Nursing accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses
• Current New York State Board of Nursing license and registration in good standing
• BLS certification (through American Heart Association)
• One (1) year of experience in nursing, required
• Preferred, not required, two (2) years of nursing experience in Substance Abuse setting
