Job summary

Boca Ciega Center in Florida is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) to supervise day-to-day nursing activities and provide direct resident care in a long-term care setting.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, coordinate with nursing assistants, review care plans, and maintain accurate documentation. The role includes ensuring quality assurance, participating in surveys, and guiding staff through discharge planning and resident care goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree and be licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating patient care.
• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, infection control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with facility policies.
• Provide direct nursing care to residents as assigned by the DON/Nurse Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Review and update discharge plans and participate in resident care planning.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation of resident care and medications.
• Lead staff meetings and coordinate shift staffing and activities.
