Job summary

MediLodge of Cheboygan is seeking a Unit Manager/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to direct the operation of a nursing unit within our long-term care facility in Cheboygan, MI. You will lead staff, oversee resident care, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited school of nursing; degree preferred.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license; state requirements.
CPR certificate if applicable.

Responsibilities

Performs General Management Functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues for the unit.
Manages staffing to meet resident needs and budgetary controls.
Monitors clinical operations and ensures quality care for residents.
Obtains medications, supplies and medical records to provide safe care.
Assists in orientation of new personnel and supervises staff needing assistance.
Participates in the facility QA program.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
