Job summary

Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager to lead the nursing unit in Mount Juliet, TN. The role emphasizes supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff, QA, and coordination of care to maintain a high standard of resident well-being.

The ideal candidate holds a current LPN license, has supervisory experience in health care, and demonstrates flexibility for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have current LPN license for the state of practice.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health-care facility preferred.
• Completion of post-secondary education; able to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must be able to maintain regular attendance as required.
• Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position.
• Must be able to adjust to a flexible schedule including evenings, nights and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Day-to-day supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff, including counseling/disciplinary action, evaluations, one-to-one in-service, suspension/terminations
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit
• Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of residents' total regimen of care
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and laws/regulations/guidelines pertaining to long-term care
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
