South Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Staff Development Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team. You will empower nursing staff with skills, training, and confidence to provide exceptional resident care.

The role focuses on planning and delivering educational programs, onboarding new hires, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Leadership experience in long-term care is preferred, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and team development.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama.
• Minimum three years' nursing experience as an LPN preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in LTC/Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and deliver staff education programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement ongoing educational programs for nursing and support staff
• Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding
• Evaluate staff competencies and coordinate in-service training
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility standards
• Support infection control and quality assurance programs
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff
