Job summary

Southcoast Health invites applications for an Imaging Assistant I position in Fall River, MA. This per diem role supports imaging services, reports to the imaging director, and requires careful patient care and accurate image-related tasks.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to hospital policies. Per diem status allows flexibility while contributing to a high-quality care environment for our communities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is highly desirable.
• One year or more experience in a related setting preferred.
• Current LPN licensure in MA and/or RI is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or be exempt by signing a waiver.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, medication administration, patient/family teaching, and testing/procedures per policies and protocols.
• Utilize an EHR and related software to update or access patient information.
• Collaborate with nursing and patient care teams to maintain professional nursing standards.

Hours: Per Diem Shift: Day shift; 8:30am - 5:00pm and 9:00am - 5:30p Location: Primary Care - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Director, Manager or designee. Perform a variety of duties involving direct patient care, such as medication administration, patient and family teaching, and testing/procedures in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols and within the scope of practical nursing. Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software to update or access patient information as appropriate. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. Works cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
• One year or more experience in related setting preferred.
• Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $28.95 - USD $45.05 /Hr.
