Job summary

Southcoast Health in Dartmouth, MA is seeking an LPN-Float Pool for per diem shifts in Primary Care. The role involves direct patient care, medication administration, and patient teaching across SPG Primary Care sites.

The position requires MA/RI LPN licensure, BLS, seasonal influenza and COVID-19 vaccination (or approved exemptions). Travel between sites may be required, with pay ranging based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is desirable.
• Six months+ experience in related setting preferred.
• Current LPN licensure in MA and/or RI is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and patient/family teaching.
• Assist with clinic flow and patient throughput.
• Communicate test results and schedules; provide follow-up under supervision.
• Travel to SPG Primary Care sites as needed to cover staffing shortages.

Hours:Per Diem

Shift:Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm and 8:30am - 5:00pm

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Director of Clinical Operations/designee. Perform a variety of duties involving direct patient care, such as medication administration, patient and family teaching, rooming, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and within the scope of practical nursing. Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office. May be responsible for telephone communication with patients including communication of test results, surgery schedules, procedures and providing appropriate counsel and follow-up under the direction of a designated supervisor. Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software to update or access patient information as appropriate. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. Position requires nurse to travel to SPG Primary Care sites where there may be a staffing shortage, ensuring patient care is delivered safely and appropriately.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
• Six months or more experience in related setting preferred.
• Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $28.66 - USD $44.60 /Hr.
