Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, IL is seeking an LPN for the Med/Surg unit on the night shift (7p-7:30a, 3 shifts). The role includes administering medications, IV piggybacks, trach care, dressings, and documenting assessments and care plans after the RN's initial assessment.

You will work with RNs of varying acuity, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. Weekend and holiday coverage required every other, with on-call not required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Illinois LPN license (IDFPR) and BLS within 30 days.
• College diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• LPN with more than 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications and hang IV piggybacks; chart initial assessments.
• Chart care plans and assist RN with plan development and discharge education.
• Perform NG tube care, dressing changes, trach care as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs to receive orders and provide patient care.
