Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is seeking a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to provide comprehensive medical services at the Jay County Correctional Center. This full-time evening shift offers a stable, mission-driven environment focused on compassionate, inmate-centered care.

You will administer medications, perform intakes and ongoing assessments, respond to sick calls, and support physicians and other medical staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid LPN or RN licensure.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Perform medical intakes and assess fitness for incarceration.
• Respond to sick call requests and follow up with providers.
• Check and change dressings as required.
• Perform 14-day physicals and manage chronic care.
• Provide patient education on health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide direction when needed.
