Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive healthcare to inmates at Jackson County Jail. You will administer medications, perform intakes, and respond to sick calls, while managing chronic conditions in a correctional setting.

This full-time role runs 8 AM to 8 PM with alternating weekends; CPR certification is required. You must stand for long periods and can lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LPN or RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients.
• Administer medications.
• Perform medical intakes and assess fitness for incarceration.
• Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider.
• Check and/or change medical dressings as required.
• Perform 14‑day physicals.
• Manage chronic care.
• Provide patient education on health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies with life-saving measures.
• Maintain pharmacology knowledge and cost awareness.
• Provide guidance to Medically Trained Personnel as needed.
• Comply with laws and regulations.
