Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) provides medical and mental healthcare to justice-involved patients at Pulaski County Jail. This full-time role runs 7 AM to 2 PM, four days a week, in a mission-driven correctional setting.

The nurse will administer medications, perform intakes, respond to sick calls, and manage chronic care while educating patients. CPR certification is required and the candidate must be able to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN licensure.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach and bend frequently.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients in a jail setting.
• Administer medications and perform medical intakes.
• Respond to sick calls and follow up with medical providers.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and costs.
• Provide guidance to Medically Trained Personnel.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
