Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an LPN to join the Respiratory Care Department. You will work with respiratory therapists and physicians to provide treatments, oxygen therapy, and airway management under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, collecting assessments, and supporting diagnostic testing, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety. CPR certification and HIPAA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• LPN licensure or multi-state license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice under RN direction.
• Assist with equipment preparation and support clinical providers during treatment and testing.
• Collect assessment data and document changes in patient condition for the RN or physician.
• Assist with orders for diagnostic tests and review results prior to clinician assessment.
• Schedule procedures and obtain necessary authorizations; assist with basic medical tasks.
