Qualifications

• Formal nursing education from accredited program
• Area of Study: General nursing
• 1+ years of experience in senior care or related field
• Experience in senior care or related field
• Licensed Practical Nurse license current in state of practice
• CPR certification required
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate in emergencies
• Basic computer skills for documentation
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively

Responsibilities

• Medication administration for residents per federal/state regulations and guidelines.
• Admissions of new residents including assessments and documentation.
• Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• Clinical system tracking (e.g., wounds or infection control) under director guidance.
• Provide health-related consultations within the community.
• Notify physicians or family of health changes and document accordingly.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Understand role in Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• May handle discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
