Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN position at the Miller, SD area, with responsibilities in long-term care under supervision. The role requires a nursing license, ability to administer medications, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Travel to support multiple locations within a 75-mile radius is required; shifts vary, and a weekend/holiday pattern may be involved. A drug screen and background check are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Current unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required (North Dakota specifics).
• Minimum of 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Assess residents, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and document outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and effective communication with residents, families, and care team.
• Perform duties to support an interdisciplinary care team and respond to emergent situations.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure

Associate degree in practical nursing (preferred)

IV therapy course (North Dakota requirement)
