Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under supervision. The role requires 3 months LT care experience (6 months preferred) and an active LPN license.

This PRN position includes a minimum of 30 hours per month and at least one weekend shift per month, with pay ranges from $24.00 to $36.00 per hour and premium rates for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• Current unencumbered LPN license (state or multi-state).
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 3 months LT care experience (6 months preferred).
• IV therapy/management: North Dakota requirements apply if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, meds, behavior, and diet.
• Communicate effectively with health care providers and the public while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support resident wellness.
