Good Samaritan – Bethany is a 79-bed long-term skilled care and transitional care facility located in Brainerd, Minnesota, in an area known as “The Heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area”.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long term care, under supervision of a nurse or physician, performing assessments, administering medications, and contributing to care plans within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the relevant North Dakota note may apply in that region.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or have 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents in long-term care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to maintain resident health.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff.
