Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid unrestricted Virginia LPN license or multi-state compact license.
• Working knowledge of practical or general nursing care.
• Ability to screen complaints and refer necessary cases to other medical professionals.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, provide first aid, and carry out providers’ orders in applying treatments.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) with current certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Screen sick calls, administer medications, and provide first aid.
• Maintain medical records and coordinate with security staff to inform treatment plans.
• Flex-hours and locations as assigned to meet institutional needs.
• Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary.
