Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Valid Virginia LPN license or multi-state compact license.
• Experience in screening complaints and referring cases.
• Ability to carry out provider’s orders and maintain documentation.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA or ARC.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid.
• Maintains open communication with security and treatment staff.
• Records all pertinent information into the medical record.
• Promotes continued competence through education and certification.
