Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide in-home nursing care for pediatric and/or adult patients in the Wilmington, NC area, serving Longs, SC and Calabash, NC.

The nurse will apply the nursing process, deliver skilled services per orders, and document patient data while coordinating with families and health teams to ensure safe, quality outcomes. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in the state where practice is required.
• TB test or chest X-ray within allowed timeframe.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing services in accordance with prescribed orders on each assignment.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and document data and nursing diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
