Job summary

CSL Plasma in Webster, Texas seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support plasma donation operations part-time. You will evaluate donor suitability, perform limited emergency care, and conduct medical history interviews under supervision.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, counseling donors on reactive results, and escalating critical cases to a center physician while following SOPs. Prior plasma or blood center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to perform and analyze physical assessments (heart, lungs, signs of drug use, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff under licensure/certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• With Center Medical Director, respond to medically related questions and advise on donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms affecting donation eligibility.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local medical services as required.
