Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Pasco, WA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You must hold a state-licensed LPN/LVN, have CPR/AED certification, be able to perform basic IV therapy, complete FDA training, and bring at least two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, education, medical history and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory results and notify donors of unsuitable findings as needed.
• Provide center level support under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.
• Support EHS programs and occupational health in the facility.
