Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Pasco, WA, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to help run the plasma center and support operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor safety, and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes under guidance from the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires a clinical background and active state licensure, with adherence to regulatory SOPs and involvement in EHS and vaccination initiatives for staff.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinate donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents per EHS guidance and determine need for further evaluation.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
