Job summary

The Rouse Estate in Youngsville, PA is seeking a Per Diem LPN to join our nursing team. Enjoy a flexible schedule and competitive wages while delivering person-centered care in a warm, supportive environment.

You will perform nursing duties, monitor residents, document findings, and assist with daily treatments in accordance with policies. PA-licensed LPN with strong communication is required; prior SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN license issued by the PA State Board.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, caring atmosphere and maintain a calm environment throughout the unit.
• Make independent nursing decisions.
• Monitor residents daily and document findings in charts.
• Provide professional nursing services per policies and procedures (catheterization, dressings, etc.).
• Ensure infection control and aseptic techniques are followed at all times.

What does a RouseLPN do?

• Create and maintain and atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit.
• Make independent decisions regarding nursing care.
• Checks residents daily to assure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status. Record findings in the resident’s chart.
• Administer professional service such as: catheterization, tube feedings suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, sputum, urine specimens, massage and exercises, care of the dead/dying, etc., in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assure that established infection control and aseptic techniques are followed by all personnel at all times and when isolation procedures become necessary.
• Assume the authority and accountability of directing your unit/shift including assigning Nursing Assistance specific duties for resident care, assign hours, breaks, and meal periods to Nursing Assistants.
• Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved.
• Supports and follows through with team goals.
• Enhances nursing department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

What are the requirements to be anLPN at the Rouse?

• Must be a graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Must possess a current LPN license issued by the PA State Board of Nursing Education & Licensure.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Must possess effective communication skills.
