Job summary

The Rouse Estate in Youngsville, PA is seeking a Per Diem LPN to support nursing care on a per diem basis. The role emphasizes warmth, independent nursing decisions, and thorough daily assessments of residents.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Must possess a current LPN license issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit.
• Make independent decisions regarding nursing care.
• Check residents daily to assure prescribed treatment is being properly administered and to evaluate their status; record findings in the chart.
• Administer professional nursing services (catheterization, tube feedings, dressings, stoma care, specimens, etc.) in accordance with policies.
• Ensure infection control and aseptic techniques are followed at all times.
• Direct unit/shift, assign duties, and manage hours and breaks for Nursing Assistants.
• Uphold the dignity of all residents.
• Support and follow team goals.
• Enhance nursing department by owning tasks and adding value to job accomplishments.
