Job summary

Rosecliff by Rouse is seeking a Direct Care Worker I to provide individualized support for residents in a 4-day work week with evenings or nights. The role offers training, potential for certification, and a sign-on bonus of $1,500.

No experience is required, and employees can advance to DCWII with pay raises after training and earned certifications. Comprehensive benefits and retirement savings are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Willing to obtain Direct Care Worker certification through DHS.
• Willing to become certified to pass medications.
• Must complete annual state-required trainings per DHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized physical, psychological, and social support for residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living including meals, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Transport residents and respond to questions, reporting observations to nursing staff.
• Maintain resident dignity and comfort while performing tasks.
• Collaborate with team to add value and improve care.

What does aDirector Care Worker I do?

• Provide individualized physical, psychological, and social support for residents.
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with meals, bathing, showering, dressing, grooming (includes nail care, oral hygiene, personal hygiene), ambulation, transferring, monitoring and/or passing of medications, bed making, minor treatments and incontinence care.
• Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering residents’ questions and requests; and reporting observations of the resident to nursing supervisor.
• Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
• Enhances department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
