Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team in Lincolnton, NC. You will support exam preparation, vital signs collection, and documentation within electronic medical records systems, while assisting physicians with procedures and patient care in a hospital or clinic setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program, LPN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and use of electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physician with procedures and surgeries.
• Administers medications under orders, including some IV-related tasks within scope.
• Provides basic patient education on tasks, treatment and self-care and coordinates care.
• Documents and communicates patient information to the care team.
