Job summary
Onyx Health Consulting is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for part-time weekend shifts in Florida. The LPN provides direct patient care under supervision, administers medications, monitors vital signs, and documents care in EMRs.
Shifts run 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm, every other weekend, with daily pay option. Requirements include a current LPN license, graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, strong communication and teamwork, attention to detail, and flexibility to work
Qualifications
- Current state license as an LPN.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and multitaskability.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience with EMRs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs.
- Communicate with patients and families about care plans.
- Document visits and treatment plans in EMRs.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and therapists.
- Complete patient assessments and coordinate care.
- Identify changes in residents' condition and report to RN.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
