• Administering medications, including IV piggybacks and fluids
• Documenting assessments and updating care plans in collaboration with RNs
• Communicating with physicians and advanced practice providers to coordinate patient care
• Performing dressing changes, trach care, NG tube care, and ostomy management
• Reinforcing patient education and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (IDFPR certified)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• College diploma in practical nursing

Skills & Resources: Proficiency with wound vacs, drains, traction devices, orthotic devices, telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, and patient connection equipment. The role may involve assisting RNs with higher acuity patients or supporting unit staff with patient care tasks.
