Job summary

Essentia Health's South University Clinic in Fargo, ND seeks an LPN or CMA to support pediatric care. The role mainly stays 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with no weekends or on-call; 24 hours weekly, can flex up or down. There are full-time benefits and possible remote/hybrid options; licensure and BCLS required within set timelines.

You will collaborate with pediatric providers to deliver high-quality care to infants through young adults in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

Job Description

Essentia Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse or certified medical assistant to serve in the pediatric practice at our South University Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. You may be required to float to the Lights Clinic in West Fargo as well. This LPN or CMA usually works 24 hours per week, but this is a flex position where the schedule may be flexed upward or downward without notice based on the needs of the facility. Shifts will occur from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required. This position qualifies for full-time benefits.

Education Qualifications: Education as required for licensure.

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
• Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• LPN: Current North Dakota LPN license required upon hire.
• LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
• CMA: Current registration or certification as a medical assistant OR verifiable completion of a medical assistant program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts.
• CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer. A clinical assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as an MA-III through the ND BON.
• BOTH: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
