Job summary
Community Health Resources seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Pathways OTP in Enfield, CT. This per diem role covers Saturdays 5:30AM-11:30AM with potential weekday coverage as needed, supporting a methadone maintenance program.
You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer methadone, and coordinate care with counselors and physicians. Connecticut LPN license and CPR certification are required.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree or certification in nursing or a related health care field.
- Experience: none required.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current CT LPN license and CPR certification; valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial nursing assessments and document patients’ responses to treatment.
- Develop, implement and evaluate nursing care plans per patient age-specific needs; record progress.
- Input data accurately into the computer system and coordinate with medical staff.
- Administer prescribed methadone regimen and take-home doses as directed by the physician.
- Monitor urine toxicology, breathalyzers, and respond to medical/psychiatric emergencies per CHR policies.
