Job summary

Recover-Care in the United States is seeking a Nurse Supervisor in the Nursing Services department. This role provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises certified nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.

The position directs daily CNA activities, manages admissions and transfers, and coordinates medications, wound care, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of certified nursing assistants per regulations and policies.
• Ensures nursing staff compliance with procedures.
• Participates in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents.
• Observes changes in residents’ status and notifies physician/family as needed.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries them out as written.
• Prepares and administers medications per physician orders and monitors for adverse effects.
• Performs wound treatments as ordered and documents changes.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation as indicated.
• Provides nursing leadership to staff on the unit.
• Delivers direct care such as colostomy care, tube feeds, wound care, IVs, etc.
• Conducts rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff duties are performed.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
