Northeast Georgia Health System in Georgia is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our patient care team. The LPN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for Center patients and deliver competent nursing services in collaboration with physicians and other staff.

The role requires current Georgia LPN licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire; a HS diploma or GED is required. Prefer: two years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia LPN license and BLS within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient physical and emotional needs and provides appropriate care.
• Performs initial assessment on arrival and plans care with the Physician.
• Documents nursing interventions and implements physician orders.
• Administers and documents medications.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices.
• Mentors MOAs and non-licensed staff.
• Completes six hours of continuing education annually.
• Precepts nursing students or new staff.
