Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Dillon, MT is seeking a licensed LPN with leadership experience to oversee nursing care within state regulations and facility policies. Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as LPN in Montana.
• One-year nursing management experience preferred.
• Must have long term care experience.
• Experience with POINT CLICK CARE electronic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice to meet patient needs per standards and physician orders.
• Implements Infection Control Manual and supports Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual to identify, place, and monitor patients in programs.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• Must have long term care experience.
• Must have electronical charting system experience with POINT CLICK CARE.
