Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Whitefish, Montana seeks an experienced LPN to lead nursing operations in our long-term care center. You will oversee daily nursing activities, ensure medication administration compliance, and collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of nursing management experience, Montana LPN licensure, and hands-on experience with electronic charting systems, preferably POINT CLICK CARE. You will participate in rounds and staff education.

Qualifications

• Must be an LPN licensed in Montana.
• Minimum of 1 year in nursing management preferred.
• Experience in long-term care required.
• Experience with electronic charting systems (POINT CLICK CARE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice per policies and orders.
• Demonstrate timely administration of medications and treatments.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders as allowed.
• Makes rounds with physicians when needed.
• Support family and patient education.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• Must have long term care experience.
• Must have electronical charting system experience with POINT CLICK CARE.
