Signature HealthCARE in Kinston, NC is seeking a caring LPN to provide direct nursing care, supervise nursing staff, and support residents with daily activities. The role includes medication administration, wound care, and documenting care plans in an electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (AHA or Red Cross).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration and wound care.
• Assist residents with ADLs while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise nursing assistants and medication aides during the shift per policy.
• Monitor residents' status and notify physicians of changes.
• Develop and review individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in QA activities and staff education.
