Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is seeking a licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse to deliver direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high-quality documentation in a long-term care setting.

You will contribute to coordinated care plans, oversee ADLs, and maintain compliance with regulations while benefiting from a $7,500 sign-on bonus for full-time LPNS and a $5 night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Monitor and observe residents’ status; notify physician and responsible party of changes.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per facility policy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges according to procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
