Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to provide direct nursing care in a 106-bed facility, including medication administration and wound care, while ensuring resident safety, comfort, and dignity.

You will supervise nursing assistants, participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain precise documentation. A new wage increase, shift differentials, and a robust benefits package accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN/LVN license in North Carolina.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory/charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care including medications and wound care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants during the shift per policies.
• Monitor residents' status and notify physician/party of changes.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans with the team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and staff education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
