Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to provide direct nursing care, assist with ADLs, and supervise nursing staff in a 106-bed facility. Join a team committed to high-quality resident care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the shift per policies.
• Monitor and observe residents’ status and notify physician of changes.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in QA activities, staff education, and surveys.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing.
