Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is seeking an LPN/LVN to provide direct nursing care in a 106-bed facility. You will supervise nursing staff, manage medication administration, and support ADLs to ensure resident comfort and safety.

The role offers a NEW WAGE INCREASE with a $7500 sign-on bonus for FT LPNs and a $5 night shift differential for night shifts, in a organization recognized for compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Experience in a supervisory/charge nurse role.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift per policies and regs.
• Monitor residents’ condition and notify physician if changes occur.
• Develop and review individualized care plans with the team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and regulatory surveys.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
