Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to provide licensed nursing support, administer medications per physician orders, monitor residents, and document care accurately in MAR/TAR. You will follow the Six Rights, transcribe orders, and contribute to care plan updates while ensuring resident safety.

A current LPN license, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience in senior care or medication administration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.
