Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to administer medications, monitor residents, and document care in MAR/TAR in real time. You will ensure accurate physician orders, follow Six Rights, and maintain secure medication carts in a licensed senior care setting.

Ideal candidates hold an active LPN license, CPR/First Aid, and demonstrate strong assessment and documentation skills. Senior care experience is preferred, and regulatory adherence is a must for this pivotal role.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.
