Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to provide licensed nursing support, administer medications safely, monitor resident health, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration and contribute to care plans, SHUs, and regulatory adherence.

The role emphasizes precise MAR/TAR documentation, timely reporting of changes, and upholding safety while supporting residents’ quality of life in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.
