Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to provide licensed nursing support, ensuring safe medication administration, health monitoring, and precise clinical documentation for residents.

You will administer medications per orders, follow the Six Rights, document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor symptoms, and communicate changes to the care team. A valid LPN license with CPR/First Aid is required, preferably with senior care experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.
